Organizers say it is an event for engineering teams, executives, and practitioners responsible for the entire manufacturing process, including design, customer fulfillment, and business success. The event features in-depth education across a broad spectrum of enabling technologies, systems, products, and solutions.
The week includes separate conferences with specific topics. Design Engineering features tools, techniques, and methodologies for product and process design to reduce design cycle times, improve quality, and exceed customer expectations. Industrial Automation highlights new factory automation integration, control methods, and product applications.
Enterprise IT includes e-business, enterprise, and supply-chain management advancements. Plant Engineering and Facilities Management features better methods and techniques to run the factory floor more productively, at higher utilization, and at lower cost. Manufacturing Enterprise Management will focus on issues and success factors to drive sustainable business growth in a global economy.
Other topics included in the week’s sessions and speeches are lean production, career enhancements for engineers, environmental issues, ergonomics, offshore outsourcing, energy leadership, design technology, and project management.
