Molex Brad Micro-Change M12 Circular Hybrid Technology (CHT) Connector combines Cat5e Ethernet communications with power

Based on the Brad circular M12 threaded coupling design, Molex’s IP67-sealed Micro-Change Circular Hybrid Technology (CHT) connector combines Cat5e Ethernet traffic with power lines in a small build size by combining power and data lines into one connector.  By doing so, Molex has reduced cabling requirements and lowered installation time and costs.

6 and 8-pole versions
In the 6-pole (4+2) format, two Cat5e twisted-pair data lines and 2 power lines carry up to 12.0A. The new 8-pole (4+4) CHT connector features two Cat5e twisted-pair data lines and 4 power lines capable of carrying up to 6.0A.
The overmolded IP67-sealed Micro-Change M12 interface provides reliable connectivity in harsh industrial environments suited for:

  • Industrial process and automation control applications
  • HVAC control systems
  • Telecom infrastructures
  • Base stations
  • And other rugged applications that require power and data in one device

The wrap-around metal shielding allows power and Cat5e signal to be combined in one connector without losing optimum signal integrity and performance. The two overlapping tubes channel the signal through the connector without affecting crosstalk and electromagnetic interference (EMI).
