What is the Global System Integrator Report?

The Global System Integrator Report is an annual supplement to Control Engineering and Plant Engineering, part of the print edition mailing and digital edition for November/December. It contains case studies, trend articles, research and recognition (awards) important to those who perform control system integration and automation system integration, including System Integrator of the Year and System Integrator Giants. While the print and digital edition contains considerable knowledge, even more appears online.

What’s the theme for the 2025 Global System Integrator Report?

This year’s theme is “Navigating challenges using automation and system integration,” in part based on Control Engineering research that identified the economy, workforce shortages and tariffs as leading threats to subscribers in the coming year. Solutions to those issues include new automation installations, automation upgrades, artificial intelligence/machine learning, smart manufacturing and control system optimization. System integrators and those who perform or help with system integration improve upon and enable new and existing technologies.
