Teledyne DALSA, a Teledyne Technologies company, has introduced Teledyne Linea HS2 8k backside illuminated (BSI) 1 MHz Time Delay Integration (TDI) camera.
The Linea HS2 8k camera is designed for high-speed imaging in low-light conditions and adds an 8k model to the Linea HS2 family alongside the 16k models. It provides 5 µm resolution and a maximum line rate of 1 MHz.
The Linea HS2 family uses a Teledyne DALSA CMOS BSI TDI sensor with a multi-array charge-domain architecture and is available in 8k and 16k resolutions. The sensor supports different application requirements, with configuration options for image quality, line rate, dynamic range and full well capacity.
These features make the Linea HS2 8k suitable for applications such as inspection of semiconductor wafers, high-density interconnects and genomics flow cells, and other high-speed inspection applications. On-chip binning can support higher web speeds, which can increase throughput, and the camera includes Camera Link HS CX4 connectors for Active Optical Cables designed to reduce the effects of electromagnetic interference.
