Beckhoff has updated Beckhoff EtherCAT Terminals with a new series of analog I/O terminals in compact high-density (HD) housings. The lineup offers up to eight channels with 16-bit resolution to support a range of analog input and output applications.
Beckhoff EL4374 is a combined analog input/output terminal supporting 10 V / 20 mA and -20/0/+4 to +20 mA ranges with a 2 ksps per channel conversion rate. Its two inputs and outputs can be individually set for current or voltage operation via TwinCAT and a CoE interface. The terminal provides a technical measuring range of ±107% of nominal to support limit-range commissioning and NAMUR NE43 evaluation, and it can drive loads up to 750 Ω at 20 mA.
Beckhoff EL3072 and EL3074 analog input terminals now provide 16-bit resolution (up from 12-bit) with 10 V/20 mA universal inputs. The EL3072 has two individually parameterizable inputs and the EL3074 has four. The lineup also includes the EL3078 with eight channels in the same compact HD housing. The 16-bit resolution and higher channel count are also available in the EL4072, EL4074 and EL4078 analog output terminals.
