New modular Ethernet relay I/O improves panel efficiency
PRODUCT FEATURES
- Configurable digital and analog I/O channels (DI, DO, AI, AO, Ex, Temp.) in a compact design for decentralized control boxes with a small to medium number of channels.
- Multi-protocol connectivity is provided by a network module with a high-performance chipset supporting PROFINET Class C and S2 redundancy.
- Integration into the control level is supported through compatibility with established control software.
- Maximum number of channels: up to 56 individually configurable channels using separate extension modules
- Function extension in existing systems due to compatibility with the PLC-INTERFACE relay system.

The new Phoenix Contact PLC-INTERFACE Ethernet Gateway provides relay interfacing with Ethernet communication in a modular assembly. It mounts to a relay bank and connects to a PLC over a single Ethernet link, reducing point-to-point wiring.
The system supports up to 56 I/O channels, including digital and analog inputs and outputs, with channel-by-channel configuration.
The PLC-INTERFACE Ethernet Gateway supports EtherNet/IP, PROFINET Class C and Modbus/TCP includes S2 for redundant network operation. It integrates with standard PLC engineering software for configuration and commissioning. Firmware updates can add functions and provide maintenance updates over time.
Because the system is part of the PLC-INTERFACE relay family, it can be integrated with existing PLC-INTERFACE relay assemblies. The product family includes modules ranging from coupling relays to relay modules with integrated circuit breakers. This supports scalable relay and I/O configurations for applications requiring limited I/O.
