AutomationDirect now offers Schmersal Protect PSC1 safety controller, a compact safety control system with scalable I/O. It can monitor E-stops, light grids and other safety devices, and includes an interface for connection to standard fieldbus protocols.
The base models, PSC1-C-10 and PSC1-C-100, include 14 safe inputs up to PL e or SIL 3, four adjustable safe semiconductor outputs, two safe relay outputs and two pulse outputs. The PSC1-C-10 includes two signaling outputs and supports up to two expansion modules. The PSC1-C-100 includes six signaling outputs and 20 adjustable safe I/O points and supports up to eight expansion I/O modules. Both models are available with built-in fieldbus support for EtherCAT, Profinet and EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP, depending on the selected model, without requiring separate communications modules.
