AutomationDirect offers Wachendorff 58V and 36J series encoders with IP67 and IP69K ratings for high-pressure, high-temperature washdown environments. The IP69K rating supports sanitation requirements and provides protection against dust and high-pressure, close-range liquid jets, including those used for high-pressure steam cleaning. The 58V models also provide resistance to acidic and alkaline cleaning agents, including salt mist.
Wachendorff encoders offer fixed resolutions from 60 to 5000 PPR with universal, open collector or line driver outputs for multiple connection options. The models are rated for shaft loading up to 300 N for 36J models and 100 N for 58V models, supporting use in industrial environments with high shaft loads. Their rated service life is 30 billion revolutions for 36J and 10 billion revolutions for58V models, which can reduce maintenance requirements and support equipment availability.
Combine a 58V or 36J heavy-duty encoder with a measuring wheel and a spring-loaded swing arm to assemble a measuring wheel system. MR series wheels are available in 200 mm and 500 mm circumferences with multiple contact surface options. WDGM spring-loaded mounts are available with clockwise or counter-clockwise swing arms, as well as a straight-sliding version for different measuring wheel applications. Assembly hardware is included and the system supports multiple mounting angles and orientations.
