Philadelphia, Pa . —Adaptive Resources (Pittsburgh, Pa.) received the 1999 ISA President’s Award on Oct. 6 for the most innovative technology at ISA Tech/99’s 22-exhibit Innovators Center. Adaptive Resources received top honors for its QuickStudy adaptive process control system software, which helps users understand and diagnose dynamic processes and automatically optimize process performance. Included in the software package are QuickStudy’s version 2 adaptive process controller and Q-Mast, a non-invasive analysis and process modeling tool.
Honorable mentions went to: Intergraph Corp. (Huntsville, Ala.) for its “Integrating Process and Control System Engineering” presentation; the trio of Solutia (St. Louis, Mo.), Hyprotech Ltd. (Calgary, Alberta, Canada), and Fisher-Rosemount Systems (Austin, Tex.), which collaborated on “Dynamic Process and Control Simulation to Reduce Control System Lifecycle Cost”; and the Fieldbus Foundation (Austin, Tex.) for its Ethernet technology.
