AMCI’s NXEE2 mini-NEXUS SSI interface product is the easiest, most flexible way to bring special structural inspection (SSI) sensor data into any programmable logic controller (PLC)-based control system. These plug and play SSI interfaces are the trusted solution for bringing SSI data into your PLC when a plug-in module solution does not exist, such as with Rockwell Automation’s CompactLogix 5380. AMCI’s NXEE2 connects a wide variety of SSI sensors to your PLC using a standard network connection, and it programs using the host controller’s (PLC) native software.
The two channel NXEE2 product is a direct interface to most gray code or binary SSI sensors, including rotary encoders, linear sensors, barcode readers and laser distance sensors. Additional NXEE2 features include: position preset, count direction, position scaling and differential inputs that can be programmed as general purpose inputs, to apply the preset value or to capture the scaled data value.
