Fisher-Rosemount released Sept. 9 its DeltaV Connect for Bailey Systems, which allows Bailey users to upgrade existing control systems with a DeltaV operator interface. This interface gives users inclusive DeltaV operator applications, data exchange, and drag-and-drop engineering. Fisher-Rosemount adds that the interface delivers immediate access to FOUNDATION fieldbus devices and the benefits of PlantWeb architecture.
Connected through a virtual controller using standard DeltaV modules, Bailey’s controller appears as a DeltaV controller to the system. All standard DeltaV features, such as event reporting, history collection and enhanced alarming are available. DeltaV Connect transfers analog I/O, digital I/O, process control loops, multi-state device control, Bailey system operating status, configuration information, and online tuning to DeltaV. Operating and tuning changes made from DeltaV workstations are automatically sent to the Bailey controller.
