HMI devices withstand high-pressure wash down

Operator panels from B&R offer IP69K protection suitable for sanitary requirements in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical applications.

B&R Industrial Automation offers certified IP69K protection for its HMI devices ranging from visualization terminals with modular interface cards to power panels with integrated control and drive technology. These operating units are produced according to DIN 40050 and are available with screen dimensions from 5.7 to 15 in. B&R says these units have an ultra-modern surface design and stand up extremely well to frequent cleaning in sanitary and other harsh industrial environments.

For the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries, where high-pressure and steam cleaning is standard procedure, these units offer high reliability using a stainless steel front and hygienic design. Optimal corrosion protection and high resistance to contamination ensure maximum cleanliness and sterility, particularly with open processes where products come into direct contact with the manufacturing equipment.

Special construction features include:

• IP69K protection from the front;
• Seamless safety-sealed system with three seals;
• Additional mounting frame for instable switching cabinets/housing;
• Gaps and edges minimized; and
• Fully integrated touch screen.
