SST, part of Woodhead Connectivity (Waterloo, Ontario, Canada), and Siemens AG Field Services Engineering unveiled a multi-tiered, co-development partnership at Hannover Fair ’99.

The partners’ first project is SST’s development of a new driver for its PICS Simulation software. The driver is using Siemens’ SimbaySys-DP and SimbaSys-EA hardware modules with Siemens’ SimbaPro software to simulate local and remote I/O points and Profibus I/O devices for a Simatic S7-400 PLC.

Siemens is also adding support to SIMBApro for SST’s Profibus Multislave card, 5136-PBMS-ISA, and for SST’s Profibus ISA card, 5136-PFB-ISA.
