North Billerica, Mass. – The Infrared Training Center (ITC) recently released its 2002 Course Schedule. ITC offers comprehensive, hands-on training and certification for infrared camera and application software users. Training programs include Level I, II, and III Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Thermography, Research and Development, Reporter Software, Thermography Program Development, and Written Practice Development.

Infrared thermography courses emphasize applications and program development and include hands-on infrared equipment operation with extensive laboratory and workshop exercises. Thermographic survey, report generation, case history analysis, and training for PdM applications are covered. Students are also introduced to the fundamentals of thermography, heat transfer, and infrared theory. ITC Certification meets or exceeds the ASNT (The American Society for Non-Destructive Testing) SNT-TC-1A guidelines regarding the education, testing, training, and certification of thermographers. ASNT, a technical and professional organization, has standardized the qualification and certification of NDT/Thermography personnel. Level I and Level II courses are accredited by NETA (International Electrical Testing Association), an accredited standards developer for the American National Standards Institute, (ASNT).

Led by Level III ASNT NDT certified instructors who have many years of predictive maintenance applications experience, North American courses are held either at the Infrared Training Center in Massachusetts, regional locations throughout the USA or at a customer’s site. ITC International Courses are conducted at the company’s thermographic training facilities in either Sweden or Germany. The ITC is also establishing Licensed Training Centers worldwide to provide thermographers with a wide choice of training venues.
