Bosch Rexroth's Integrated Axis Controller (IAC) combines control electronics—including software and a valve platform of NG 10/350 bar for a cabinet-free installation close to the hydraulic cylinder.

Bosch Rexroth’s Integrated Axis Controller (IAC) has received firmware upgrades that are designed to meet Industrie 4.0 goals of productivity. The decentralized IAC unit combines control electronics—including software and a valve platform of NG 10/350 bar for a cabinet-free installation close to the hydraulic cylinder. It closes the control loop, thereby significantly reducing the amount of cabling work. With the multi-Ethernet connection, the motion controller performs the high-precision real-time controlling of dynamic motion tasks while ensuring utmost transparency and consistent data flow. This multi-Ethernet capability is extended with the Powerlink protocol.
It is also possible to use pure analog voltage/current feedback systems beside SSI, EnDat 2.2 and 1Vpp sinusoidal variants. Valve specific characteristics can automatically be measured and compensated to reduce startup time—especially important in machines with multiple hydraulic axes. The pre-defined hydraulic functionalities encompass closed loop position, pressure, force, flow (pQ) and velocity control, alternating control, and open-loop controlled operation. The uniform, easy to use IndraWorks software with optimized dialogs can be used over Ethernet for offline configuration, fast commissioning, parameterization, and diagnosis of the IAC valve.
