Emerson has released Emerson DeltaV Live Enterprise View, a new application that provides secure, real-time control system visibility outside the control room. The software adds to Emerson’s growing set of edge applications and gives engineering, maintenance, reliability and leadership teams browser-based, read-only access to live plant displays in the same format used by operators, without display conversion, extra engineering work or changes to the control system.
Fast decision-making is important for efficient operations in changing market conditions. However, separate tools that are not natively integrated can cause delays and require additional engineering effort, reducing productivity. DeltaV Live Enterprise View is designed to solve this problem by delivering DeltaV Live displays through secure, read-only browser access for users at any network- connected location with internet access.
Most enterprise visualization solutions require graphics to be duplicated, transformed, or redesigned. By contrast, DeltaV Live Enterprise View displays graphics as configured in DeltaV Live, providing immediate access to relevant views for different user roles. Enterprise users can view the same displays used by operators, tailored to their roles, which reduces barriers to use and helps teams adopt the system more quickly.
DeltaV Live Enterprise View provides secure, read-only access to operational views through unidirectional data flow in the DeltaV Edge Environment. The DeltaV Edge Environment provides secure access to DeltaV data with operational context while keeping control and enterprise systems separated appropriately.
DeltaV Live Enterprise View joins an existing set of applications for edge deployment, including DeltaV Edge Explorer, DeltaV Agent.Connect and selected open-source applications such as Grafana, Jupyter Notebook and Node-RED. These applications help users improve operations across the enterprise through advanced analytics, AI-based tools, configurable dashboards, trending, alarm analysis, workflow automation and batch investigation.
As Emerson continues to develop its enterprise operations platform, more applications like DeltaV Live Enterprise View are expected to support scaling from edge systems to enterprise use cases. The platform is designed for OT environments and built with scalable control, industrial AI, and zero-trust security principles.
