Jungo, Israel — Jungo recently released WinDriver and KernelDriver version 5.0 driver development tools. Version 5.0 includes a multi-platform Wizard for Linux, Solaris, and Microsoft Windows driver developers; a new KernelDriver Wizard that generates code for a kernel mode driver; and a remote hardware access tool. WinDriver is reportedly the only tool providing Unix users with a complete driver development environment, including graphical code generation tools, and a rich API. Previously, Linux and Solaris driver developers and hardware engineers had to master operating system internals before trying to write a driver.
