Intralogistics is growing in the warehousing market and requires smart technologies that can keep up with the growing demand and pace consumers expect as automation’s role grows. This can cause some challenges for the manufacturers and they need to be ready for what lies ahead. Doug Schuchart, global intralogistics manager for Beckhoff, talked about what they’re doing to improve operations management for engineers at Modex 2024 in Atlanta. He also talked about the role robotics play in intralogistics and material handling and the changes the warehousing industry has gone through in the last several years and the impact standardization has had.
