Intellution Inc. and Ann Arbor Technologies announced a partnership Nov. 15 to provide Microsoft Windows CE hardware and software for scalable automation solutions applications. The partnership was formed in conjunction with Ann Arbor’s release of its panelLink Windows CE 2.13 hardware solution and Intellution’s release of its iVisualize Windows CE visualization solution.

By offering one integrated CE embedded solution, the firms say end-users, OEMs, and system integrators will be assured a single, integrated hardware and software platform. This will give applications from plant floor to business operations a scalable infrastructure from CE to Windows NT.

Featuring a 200-MHz SH4 processor with 32 MB on-board SDRAM, 32-MB flash ROM, and 128-KB battery-backed SRAM, panelLink also includes an Ethernet port, RS-232 serial port, external alarm, remote reset, watch dog timer, and analog touch-screen. Built on iCore, Intellution’s open, component-based Plug and Solve foundation, iVisualize extends Intellution Dynamics’ capabilities down to the market’s panel level.
