The new Multi Port Interconnection System is rated IP68 for protection in severe environments. It includes both the multiport modules and physical media to satisfy all connection requirements.
Northbrook, Ill. — Woodhead Connectivity has extended its line of DeviceNet connection products to address demands of adverse factory-floor environments. The new Multi Port Interconnection System is rated IP68 for protection in severe environments. It includes both the multiport modules and physical media to satisfy all connection requirements. The system includes an easy-to-configure eight position DIP switch and provides top-mount connections for up to 16 discrete devices connected to a DeviceNet system. Embedded circuitry provides a communication interface among three-wire dc sensors, two-wire actuators, and a DeviceNet network. The system is developed for the industrial automation and control market and is suited to OEMs accustomed to operating in severe environments, such as material handling, packaging equipment, and automotive assembly.
