  • Software Toolbox (Charlotte, N.C.) recently announced a partnership allowing it to license software technology for linking Visual Basic to OPC servers from Siemens Energy&Automation (Alpharetta, Ga.). In other news, Afcon Control and Automation Inc. (Schaumburg, Ill.) and Software Toolbox announced Jan. 17 an arrangement allowing Afcon to bundle Software Toolbox’s Symbol Factory software with Afcon’s P-CIM SCADA/HMI software.

  • Honeywell Industrial Control (Phoenix., Ariz.) recently announced that its Honeywell-Shell alliance has worked on projects for Shell Chemical and the alliance refineries of Equilon and Motiva for more than 1 million hours without a recordable injury.

  • SBS Technologies (San Diego, Calif.) recently announced it has been selected by Schneider Electric’s Square D unit to supply embedded computer platforms for its next generation of PowerLogic power management systems.

  • Grayhill Inc. (LaGrange, Ill.) announced Jan. 8 that it has added Internet connectivity and web browser, management to its new line of OpenDAC data acquisition and process control products using NetSilicon’s (Waltham, Mass.) Net+Works Ethernet microprocessing solution.
