The Bundy Group reported 16 automation transactions in its August 2025 summary reports. Analysis on the acquisitions and reports are highlighted below including transactions involving Ametek, Applied Industrial Technologies, Comau, STMicroelectronics and others.

Bundy Group, an investment bank and advisory firm that specializes in the automation segment, provides an update on mergers and acquisitions and capital placement activity for this industry, with 16 August 2025 report transactions, involving Ametek, Applied Industrial Technologies, Comau and STMicroelectronics, among other companies. Technologies involved include automation, manufacturing software, robotics, sensors and system integration and others.

The Bundy Group said that the automation market continues to experience many mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital markets activities. Drivers of this activity include the growth-oriented nature of the automation market, the consolidation opportunities within the industry and the strength of many of the companies operating within it. The automation market has attracted a critical mass of strategic buyers and financial sponsors (private-equity groups, family offices, institutional investors) that seek to own or invest in the industry. From such Bundy Group closed automation transactions as CITI System Integrators and Ultimation, and the team continues to see strong interest from a range of qualified buyers in the automation segment. RMH Systems acquired Complete Solution Robotics, Aug. 7

RMH Systems acquired Complete Solution Robotics, a Colorado-based robotics and automation solutions provider. This marks RMH’s first add-on acquisition since partnering with Rotunda Capital Partners in February 2025. The deal enhances RMH’s in-house engineering capabilities, expands its Mountain West presence and reinforces its position as a full-service systems integrator.                              

Xylem acquired EnviroMix, Aug. 1

Xylem completed the acquisition of EnviroMix, a provider in compressed gas mixing and biological process solutions. The deal expands Xylem’s biological treatment portfolio, enabling greater flexibility for customers to meet evolving nutrient regulations with proven technologies. This strategic move strengthens Xylem’s ability to address diverse treatment plant needs while supporting growth in the rapidly expanding advanced nutrient removal segment of the water sector.

Comau acquired Automha, July 31

Comau, provider of Industry 4.0-enabled automation systems, products and services including robotics, has completed the full acquisition of Automha S.p.A. and its global subsidiaries, strengthening its position as a leading Italian automation hub. The deal leverages strong synergies between the two companies to drive added value for customers and shareholders worldwide. Automha will continue its current operations while benefiting from expanded growth opportunities under Comau’s ownership.

Kaynes Technology invested in Tranzmeo IT Solutions, July 30

Kaynes Technology, an electronics component manufacturer, has made a strategic investment to expand its presence in the aerospace and advanced technology sectors by acquiring an 11.13% equity stake in Tranzmeo IT Solutions Pvt Ltd for approximately ₹43 crore. Tranzmeo is a deep-tech company specializing in converting passive fiber-optic networks into intelligent, long-range sensing systems, with strong applications in infrastructure and defense.

Greylane acquired AirCare Operator, July 30

Greylane, a newly launched U.S.-based holding company, acquired AirCare Automation, a Texas-based provider of cleanroom controls and monitoring solutions. AirCare Automation designs and assembles fan filter unit controls, consoles, cleanroom monitoring software and environmental controls for mission-critical cleanroom applications. The acquisition marks Greylane’s entry into the engineered components sector, aligning with its strategy of acquiring niche manufacturers with recurring revenue and pricing power.

Coesia acquired majority of Autoware, July 25

Coesia acquired a majority stake in Autoware, a Vicenza-based international Manufacturing Software Integrator specializing in manufacturing execution systems (MES), manufacturing operations management (MOM) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) software solutions. Autoware serves leading companies across food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, and pharmaceutical sectors, enhancing Coesia’s advanced industrial and packaging solutions portfolio.

STMicroelectronics acquired NXP’s MEMS sensors business, July 24

STMicroelectronics has acquired NXP Semiconductors’ MEMS sensors business, enhancing its global sensors portfolio. The acquisition will strengthen ST’s position in automotive safety and industrial applications while complementing its existing MEMS technology. This strategic move is expected to expand development opportunities across automotive, industrial and consumer markets.

Sonepar agreed to acquire Ladder and Intereng, July 21

Sonepar has signed an agreement to acquire Ladder and Intereng, two long-standing Rockwell Automation distributors in Brazil with over 30 years of industrial automation expertise. The move strengthens Sonepar’s presence in key regions, including São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso do Sul and Minas Gerais, and enhances its reach in complex, value-added industrial segments. Both companies bring customer relationships and teams recognized for technical ability and service.

Ametek acquired Faro Technologies, July 21

Ametek, a technology provider that includes automation, testing and energy products and services, completed its acquisition of Faro Technologies Inc. for approximately $920 million in cash, resulting in the delisting of Faro’s common stock from Nasdaq. The transaction, approved by shareholders and regulators, strengthens Ametek’s position as a global provider of industrial technology solutions with annual sales of around $7.0 billion.

Lear acquired WIP Industrial, July 17

Lear Corp., a provider in automotive Seating and E-Systems, has completed its acquisition of WIP Industrial Automation, based in Valladolid, Spain. Announced on April 29, 2024, the deal brings WIP’s robotics and AI-based computer vision expertise to Lear, strengthening automation, safety and quality in manufacturing while improving efficiency amid economic challenges.

Double E Group acquired Converter Accessory Corp. July 9

Double E Group, a provider in converting components and web handling technology, has acquired Converter Accessory Corp. This strategic move strengthens Double E Group’s position in the converting industry by expanding its portfolio of web handling and material handling solutions. The addition of CAC allows Double E Group to offer customers a more comprehensive suite of products and services, covering the entire production line and throughout the manufacturing facility.

Accenture acquired Systema, July 1

Accenture has acquired Systema, a Dresden-based provider of software solutions and consulting services for manufacturing automation. With expertise in semiconductors and high-tech industries, Systema strengthens Accenture’s ability to support clients in specialized sectors and expands its presence in Europe’s growing semiconductor market.

Gulf Island Fabrication acquired parts of ENGlobal, May 12

Gulf Island Fabrication Inc. completed the acquisition of certain assets of ENGlobal Corp., including its automation business (effective May 12, 2025) and engineering and government services businesses (effective June 16, 2025), assuming certain related liabilities in the process.

Rexel Canada acquired Jacmar Automation, May 6

Rexel Canada, led by CEO Jeffery Moyle, has acquired Jacmar Automation, a Quebec-based industrial automation supplier. Founded in 1994, Jacmar has earned a strong reputation for service, support and innovation, and the acquisition strengthens Rexel’s presence in Quebec while aligning with its Accelerate 28 strategy.

Applied Industrial Technologies agreed to acquire Iris Factory Automation, May 1

EECOL Electric acquired Industrial Software Solutions, Jan. 28

EECOL Electric acquired Industrial Software Solutions, the exclusive distributor of Aveva industrial automation software in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. Based in Bothell, Washington, ISS serves over 1,000 customers across its regions. The partnership will expand EECOL’s reach and deliver integrated electrical and automation solutions with enhanced service and innovation.
