Bundy Group, an investment bank and advisory firm that specializes in the automation segment, provides an update on mergers and acquisitions and capital placement activity for this industry, with 15 June 2026 report transactions, involving Accenture, Framatome, GE Vernova, Mach Machines, Neura Robotics, among other companies. The Bundy Group said the automation market continues to experience many mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital markets activities. Activity drivers include the growth-oriented nature of the automation market, the consolidation opportunities within the industry and the strength of many of the companies operating within it. The automation market has attracted a critical mass of strategic buyers and financial sponsors (private-equity groups, family offices, institutional investors) that seek to own or invest in the industry. From such Bundy Group closed automation transactions as CITI System Integrators and Ultimation, and the team continues to see strong interest from a range of qualified buyers in the automation segment. Pemamek acquired Mach Machines, June 17
Pemamek acquired Mach Machines, a supplier of robotic welding and automation solutions for heavy steel fabricators in the U.S. market. For more than 50 years, Pemamek has been a Finnish family-owned provider of welding and production automation, specializing in robotized welding solutions for heavy fabrication industries including pressure vessels, shipbuilding, offshore structures and wind tower manufacturing.
Accenture acquired Industries eXcellence Group, June 17
Accenture acquired Industries eXcellence Group, a Milan-based digital solutions provider for industrial sectors that develops and delivers digital transformation solutions primarily in the U.S. and European markets. Accenture is a global professional services company leading digital transformation and technology consulting, offering strategy, consulting and technology services across industries.
AE Ventures, Squadra Ventures funded Copia Automation, June 16
Copia Automation raised $26 million in additional funding to unify OT code management, backup and recovery, bringing total capital raised to $55 million. The company says the money will help industrial teams manage, back up and recover PLC code faster, especially when responding to cyberattacks or downtime incidents. AE Ventures and Squadra Ventures co-led the round, with participation from KAS Venture Partners and existing backers Construct Capital, Lux Capital, Ironspring Ventures and Renegade Partners.
Construct Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Transition Ventures, Sunflower Capital and Banter Capital funded Podium Automation, June 15
Podium Automation raised $18 million in Series A funding led by Construct Capital, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Transition Ventures, Sunflower Capital and Banter Capital. Podium is a Brooklyn-based manufacturer that reimagines how industrial control panels are designed and built, delivering quick-turn control panels in days rather than months using software-driven manufacturing.
ACI Controls acquired King Gage Engineering Corp., June 12
ACI Controls acquired King Gage Engineering Corp., a provider of industrial instrumentation, flow measurement and process control products. ACI Controls is a Buffalo, New York-based industrial automation and instrumentation company serving process control applications including pressure, temperature, level, flow, combustion, filtration and automation. Effective June 12, 2026, the acquisition strengthens ACI Controls’ position by expanding its technical expertise, product offering and customer support capabilities across multiple industries.
Tether, Amazon, NVIDIA, Qualcomm Technologies, Bosch, Schaeffler funded Neura Robotics, June 10
Neura Robotics raised up to $1.4 billion in Series C funding, said to be the largest funding round in history for a full-stack robotics company. Neura is a German cognitive robotics pioneer that builds humanoids and cognitive industrial robots, plus the AI, sensor and edge compute stack that powers them, plus the Neuraverse platform that connects them. The round was led by Tether, with participation from Amazon, Nvidia, Qualcomm Technologies, Bosch, Schaeffler, the European Investment Bank, imec.xpand, Lingotto Horizon and InterAlpen Partners.
Impel invested in Haynes Equipment Co., June 3
Impel completed an investment in Haynes Equipment Co., a provider of water and wastewater flow control equipment, systems and services that has served municipalities in the Midwest for more than 65 years. Impel is a Seattle-based flow management and water infrastructure company backed by Pike Street Capital that supports critical U.S. water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Airline Hydraulics acquired Industrial Automation Supply, a Portland, Maine-based industrial automation and controls distributor that serves OEMs, contract manufacturers and industrial customers throughout New England since 1993. Framatome acquired Trillium Flow Technologies, June 2
Framatome acquired Trillium Flow Technologies France from Trillium Flow Technologies/First Reserve, a nuclear safety valve manufacturer serving more than 170 nuclear reactors worldwide. The company was renamed Sebim and joined Framatome’s Valves product line, which now includes Vanatome, Segault, Valserve and Sebim.
Air Control Concept acquired Cardinal Control Systems, May 28
Air Control Concepts acquired Cardinal Control Systems Inc., an HVAC control and building management system contractor based in Holbrook, New York. Cardinal has served Nassau and Suffolk Counties since 2003, specializing in building automation, direct digital controls (DDC) and multi-protocol system integration.
Cache Valley Electric acquired Rouser Automation, May 28
Cache Valley Electric acquired Rouser Automation, a Logan, Utah-based provider of industrial control systems and automation. Rouser brings UL508A control panel fabrication, PLC and HMI programming, robotics, motion control, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and vision systems integration to CVE, which said the deal expands its in-house industrial automation capabilities and end-to-end project execution.
United Flow Technologies acquired Peak Group Companies, May 27
United Flow Technologies acquired Peak Group Companies, a Belgrade, Montana-based provider of water and wastewater treatment solutions, pumps and process equipment serving municipal and industrial customers in the Northern Rockies and Northern Plains. UFT is a technical distributor and solutions provider for municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment markets, a portfolio company of Berkshire Partners headquartered in Irving, Texas.
Ondex Automation acquired The Fitch Co., May 27
Ondex Automation acquired The Fitch Co., a Maine-based systems integrator. The Fitch Co. delivers customized process control and electrical engineering solutions for industrial environments in pulp and paper, power and energy, and consumer goods. This is Ondex’s sixth acquisition since April 2024, adding expertise in electrical design and process control.
GE Vernova plans to acquire Robotech Automation, May 21
GE Vernova plans to acquire Robotech Automation, a Quebec-based robotics and automation systems integrator with roughly 35 employees, to accelerate its robotics strategy and deploy automation across its supply chain and manufacturing operations. The company already works with GE Vernova on active projects, and the deal is expected to close in early Q3 2026.
Locus Robotics acquired Nexera Robotics, May 19
Locus Robotics acquired Nexera Robotics, adding its patented NeuraGrasp end-effector to the Locus Array platform to improve AI-driven mobile manipulation for warehouse fulfillment. Nexera’s team and leadership will join Locus, and the combined platform is aimed at handling a broader range of SKUs, including soft, fragile and irregular items.
