What Makes Avadh an Engineering Leader

Avadh is an automation and control systems consultant and a leader in mining and heavy-industry automation. He distinguishes himself by turning frontier ideas into field-proven systems. He engineered a first-of-its-kind digital twin that operates as a live, closed-loop control layer for rare-earth mineral extraction, increasing recovery and reducing operating costs at producers worldwide.

Across large electric machinery fleets, Avadh’s analytics and predictive-maintenance systems deliver six-figure annual savings per machine while reducing unplanned downtime. An IEEE Senior Member, PMP and published author, he advances the field through original engineering work and active thought leadership.

Leadership & Industry Contributions

Since January 2026, Avadh has served as Southern Branch director on the board of Project Management Institute Arizona. In this role, he leads regional operations and member-engagement strategy, plans professional-development events, builds industry-networking initiatives, and mentors early-career engineers and project managers across the chapter.

Alongside this work, Avadh has driven innovation in heavy-industry automation by applying digital-twin simulation and predictive-maintenance techniques to reduce risk in complex control-system projects. He has also consistently mentored junior engineers, translating advanced methods into practical, teachable approaches.

By pairing hands-on technical leadership with volunteer leadership in a professional society, Avadh advances practices in his field while helping develop the next generation of engineering talent.

Avadh has authored eight technical and industry articles on mining automation, digital twins, PLC migration and predictive maintenance. His work has appeared in outlets including IJFMR, APCOM 2025, Control Design and Manufacturing Tomorrow.

He has delivered invited presentations at more than seven national and international forums, including the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society, CIM Academy in Canada and MEMO 2025. Avadh also serves as a peer reviewer for academic journals, reviewing more than 12 papers, and as an evaluator and judge for the PMI Rising Leader Award and the Women in Mining AZ scholarship.

In addition to his IEEE Senior Member status and PMI Arizona board role, Avadh holds PMP and PSPO certifications.

Why Avadh Chose This Career

Avadh traces his career path to a fascination with how electronics and control systems enable heavy machinery to “think.” After studying electronics and communication engineering, he was drawn to industrial automation because it sits at the intersection of software and the physical world, where a few lines of control logic can help keep a massive machine operating safely and efficiently in demanding conditions.

He chose mining and heavy industry because reliability is not merely a convenience—it is a necessity. For Avadh, the appeal has always been making advanced technology genuinely dependable in the field.
