Engine Ventures, IAG Capital, others invest in Trener Robotics, Feb. 10
Trener Robotics raised $32 million in Series A funding, co-led by Engine Ventures and IAG Capital Partners, with participation from strategic investors Cadence and Geodesic Capital, through Nikon’s NFocus Fund. Shanda, Emergent Ventures, Fitz Gate Ventures, Techable VC, Radius Capital Ventures, and Raisewell Ventures also participated in the round. Tavoron acquires DP Technologies Group & DP Brown of Saginaw, Feb. 9
Tavoron, a Fusion Capital Partners portfolio company, has acquired DP Technologies Group and DP Brown of Saginaw, providers of electrical and mechanical motion control systems headquartered in Saginaw, Michigan. Founded in 1894, DP Technologies Group and DP Brown specialize in motion control solutions such as drives, linear motion, motors, gear reducers, sensors, human-machine interfaces (HMIs) and industrial electronics, serving automotive, food processing, material handling and general industrial applications with in-house panel building and programming.
Hoskin Scientific acquired WesTech, Feb. 3
Hoskin Scientific, a portfolio company of River Associates, acquired WesTech, an instrumentation distributor. The acquisition expands industrial measurement and monitoring capabilities.

SunSource acquired Vytl Controls Group, Jan. 30
MiddleGround Capital sold Vytl Controls Group to SunSource, a value-added industrial distributor of fluid power, process, conveyance and automation components. Headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas, Vytl distributes, services, repairs, designs and manufactures flow control solutions (valves, actuators and instrumentation) across chemical, downstream energy, marine and industrial markets through Setpoint, W&O Supply, and AT Controls.
Lightspeed Venture Partners and Lingotto invested in RobCo, Jan. 29
RobCo has raised $100 million in a Series C round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Lingotto, with participation from Sequoia Capital and industrial investors. The Munich-based physical AI robotics company, founded in 2020, develops a full-stack platform combining hardware, perception, motion planning and self-learning for autonomous robot operations in manufacturing production environments.
