Intellution rebrands software products

To reflect a broader application range served by its newer products, Intellution recently changed the name of its software family from FIX Dynamics to Intellution Dynamics.

The firm’s new iFIX version 2.1 was released as the first product with the new name. Formerly, iFIX was the human-machine interface/supervisory control and data acquisition (HMI/SCADA) component of FIX Dynamics. In addition, Intellution’s VisualBatch will be renamed iBatch; Web Server will become iWebServer, and Broadcast Network will be iWebCast.

Intellution expects the rebranding to help customers differentiate between current offerings and its original FIX HMI/SCADA application. The company says the new name more accurately reflects Intellution’s commitment to information exchange throughout the enterprise.

“Intellution Dynamics significantly broadens Intellution’s market reach, solution set, and functionality beyond our traditional targets. Because Intellution Dynamics raises the bar in results by integrating the enterprise, we wanted to communicate to the marketplace and our customers that this next generation software goes far beyond a plant floor solution,” says Steve Rubin, Intellution’s president and ceo.
