(Chicago, Ill.) announced that the two companies began operating as one on May 1, 2001. The new company's legal name in North America is Bosch Rexroth Corp.
Racine, Wis.— Following recent U.S. Federal Trade Commission approval of their merger, Bosch Automation Technology and Mannesmann Rexroth Corp. (Chicago, Ill.) announced that the two companies began operating as one on May 1, 2001. The new company’s legal name in North America is Bosch Rexroth Corp. The merger will generate combined sales of $776 million in North America and $3.4 billion globally, with a collective workforce of 26,000, including 3,000 in North America. The new firm will be a subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH (Stuttgart, Germany). The new company will consist of six divisions: Industrial Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mobil Hydraulics, Electric Drives & Controls, Assembly & Linear Technology, and Service Automation Technology.
