Latest automation mergers, November 2025: Sensing, robotics, system integration

The Bundy Group reported 29 automation transactions in its November 2025 summary reports. Analysis on the acquisitions and reports are highlighted below including transactions involving Amphenol, Eaton, FloWorks, Hexagon, Malisko, Motion Industries, Parker Hannifin, PTC and others.

  • In the November 2025 monthly report to Control Engineering website, the Bundy Group, which helps with mergers, acquisitions and raising capital, reported 29 transactions.

Amphenol, Eaton, FloWorks, Hexagon, Malisko, Motion Industries, Parker Hannifin and PTC are among companies with mergers, acquisitions and capital placement activities related to automation, according to a November update from Bundy Group, an investment bank and advisory firm that specializes in the automation segment. Among 29 November 2025 report transactions, technologies included automation, robotics, sensing, system integration and others.

The Bundy Group said that the automation market continues to experience many mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital markets activities. Drivers of this activity include the growth-oriented nature of the automation market, the consolidation opportunities within the industry and the strength of many of the companies operating within it. The automation market has attracted a critical mass of strategic buyers and financial sponsors (private-equity groups, family offices, institutional investors) that seek to own or invest in the industry. From such Bundy Group closed automation transactions as CITI System Integrators and Ultimation, and the team continues to see strong interest from a range of qualified buyers in the automation segment. Investcorp acquired Kanawha Scales & Systems, Nov. 13

Investcorp acquired Kanawha Scales & Systems (KSS), a provider of calibration, maintenance and repair services for complex industrial weighing systems and automated control solutions in the U.S. Founded in 1954 and headquartered in Poca, West Virginia, KSS serves industries including manufacturing, agriculture, food and beverage, chemicals, coal, logistics and pharmaceuticals through a network of certified branches.

Duravant acquired Matthews Automation Solutions, Nov. 13

Duravant acquired Matthews Automation Solutions, a provider of warehouse execution system and warehouse control system software, controls and integration services. Known for brands like Pyramid, Compass, Nexus and Lightning Pick, Matthews Automation Solutions enhances Duravant’s material handling capabilities in material flow and order fulfillment solutions for omnichannel, e-commerce, retail, parcel and logistics sectors.

EGS Beteiligungen & CREADD Ventures funded Delvitech, Nov. 11     

Delvitech has closed a $40 million Series B round to scale its AI-powered automated optical inspection systems for electronics manufacturing. Its 3D AOI platforms are deployed on production lines to improve quality and yield for PCB and electronics producers.

BW Design Group acquired Malisko, Nov. 11      

BW Design Group acquired Malisko Inc., a system integration and automation firm. This acquisition enhances BW Design Group’s capabilities in delivering comprehensive end-to-end solutions spanning architecture, engineering, construction, and automation integration. Serving industries such as food and beverage, life sciences and advanced technology, the combined expertise strengthens the firm’s ability to connect strategy, development, delivery, and commercialization across complex manufacturing and technology environments. Malisko was a 2025 Control Engineering System Integrator of the Year.

Hexagon plans to acquire Inertial Sense, Nov. 10

Hexagon plans to acquire Inertial Sense, a provider of tactical-grade global navigation solutions and inertial navigation systems (GNSS+INS), to enhance its positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) portfolio. Inertial Sense, headquartered in Utah, has deployed over 30,000 inertial systems worldwide, delivering centimeter-level accuracy. The acquisition strengthens Hexagon’s PNT abilities for aerospace, defense, robotics and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) markets.

Parker Hannifin Corp. agreed to acquire Filtration Group Corp., Nov. 10

Parker Hannifin Corp. entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Filtration Group Corp. for $9.25 billion on a cash-free, debt-free basis. Filtration Group, a U.S.-based company affiliated with Madison Industries, specializes in highly engineered filtration technologies serving critical growth markets with a strong aftermarket presence generating about 85% of its sales. The acquisition will expand Parker’s filtration offerings, particularly in life sciences, HVAC/R, and industrial markets, creating one of the largest global industrial filtration businesses.

The Rapid Group acquired O&M Solutions, Nov. 5         

The Rapid Group has acquired O&M Solutions, a provider of operations and maintenance services for wastewater treatment plants and water infrastructure in the Northeast U.S. O&M Solutions delivers field services and equipment maintenance that support continuous plant operations.

TPG acquired PTC’s Kepware and ThingWorx, Nov. 5

TPG agreed to acquire PTC’s Kepware industrial connectivity and ThingWorx Internet of Things (IoT) businesses. This acquisition provides the businesses with additional capital and expertise to accelerate growth and enhance connectivity and data needs of manufacturing organizations. Kepware facilitates communication between industrial automation devices and applications, while ThingWorx offers an IoT platform for industrial enterprises.

Ondex Automation acquired PlantOPS Consulting, Nov. 5

Ondex Automation acquired PlantOPS Consulting, a provider of manufacturing execution system (MES) implementation and consulting for pharmaceutical, biotech and medtech sectors. PlantOPS brings expertise in regulatory compliance and digital transformation, helping clients optimize manufacturing operations with advanced MES solutions. This acquisition strengthens Ondex’s capabilities in delivering integrated automation and compliance-driven digital solutions, positioning PlantOPS as a system integrator in life sciences manufacturing.

Presidio acquired Achieve One, Nov. 4

Presidio, a global technology services and solutions provider, acquired Achieve One, a systems integrator and cloud solutions provider based in Virginia. This acquisition expands Presidio’s technical capabilities and regional presence near key enterprise and public sector clients in Virginia and Washington, D.C. Achieve One is known for modernizing IT infrastructure and accelerating digital transformation across public sector, manufacturing, financial services and healthcare markets. This strategic move supports Presidio’s disciplined growth and deepens its presence in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Jungheinrich acquired Invar, Nov. 4

Jungheinrich, through its subsidiary Storage Solutions, acquired Invar, a U.S.-based system integrator and software specialist in warehouse automation. Invar delivers customized automation solutions combining consulting, design, simulation, project execution and after-sales service with its proprietary Warehouse Execution System (WES). This acquisition strengthens Jungheinrich’s position in mobile automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), expanding its footprint in North America with new locations in Atlanta, Georgia, and Erlanger, Kentucky.

Vertiv Holdings plans to acquire PurgeRite, Nov. 3

Harris Williams is advising PurgeRite, a portfolio company of Milton Street Capital, on its pending sale to Vertiv Holdings Co. PurgeRite specializes in mechanical flushing, purging and filtration services for liquid cooling systems, serving critical infrastructure markets including data centers, semiconductors and commercial and industrial sectors. Their proprietary technologies and engineering expertise allow them to meet demanding schedules and complex liquid cooling needs, supporting partnerships with major hyperscale and colocation data center providers.

Solenis acquired NCH Corp., Nov. 3

Solenis acquired NCH Corp., a provider of middle-market water treatment and industrial solutions. The combined company operates in over 160 countries with approximately 23,000 employees and is headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware. Owned by Platinum Equity, Solenis has expanded its global footprint, diversified its business and enhanced its customer service capabilities. Bain Capital and the Levy family, previous owners of NCH, now hold minority stakes in Solenis.

Elaia, Speedinvest, others fund Mimic, Nov. 3

Mimic, a robotics company based in Zurich, has raised $16 million in a seed funding round led by Elaia and Speedinvest, with other investors including Founderful and Sequoia Scout Fund, bringing its total funding to over $20 million. The company develops frontier physical AI combined with humanoid robotic hands to perform complex, dexterous tasks that traditional automation cannot. Mimic’s technology addresses manual tasks in manufacturing and assembly, aiming to overcome labor shortages and support reshoring of production by enabling versatile, intelligent robots.

Neal Systems is acquiring New England Temperature Solutions, Nov. 3

Neal Systems is acquiring New England Temperature Solutions (NETS), owned by Dominic Deluca, with finalization set for Jan. 1, 2026. This acquisition expands Neal Systems’ capabilities in temperature control with products like Watlow and Eurotherm heaters and controllers. The partnership adds key team members and technical resources, including Dom’s how-to videos, enhancing support and expertise for customers in the Northeast. The new office in Attleboro, Massachusetts, will strengthen regional service and growth opportunities.                           

Eaton purchased the Boyd Corp. Thermal business, Nov. 3

Boyd Corp. is selling its Thermal business to Eaton for $9.5 billion. The Thermal business, which provides advanced thermal solutions including liquid cooling technologies for data centers, aerospace and industrial markets, will enhance Eaton’s product portfolio and service capabilities. Boyd will continue to operate its Engineered Materials business independently, focusing on sealing, shielding and insulating technologies, backed by Goldman Sachs Alternatives.

MPI Technology is acquiring AutomatisierungsTechnik Voigt, Nov. 1

MPI Technology is acquiring AutomatisierungsTechnik Voigt GmbH (ATV), a German company specializing in integrated automated measurement systems for the semiconductor industry. ATV is known for customizing comprehensive test system solutions by partnering with leading precision semiconductor equipment brands. This acquisition aligns MPI with strong technical capabilities in semiconductor measurement, supporting advanced system integration and innovation in the semiconductor sector.

Motion Industries acquired Sunset Industrial (net operating assets), Nov. 1

Motion Industries acquired the net operating assets of Sunset Industrial, a distributor based in Cerritos, California, specializing in power transmission parts, industrial lubrication solutions and related services such as make-to-order parts, repairs and inventory management. The transaction aims to enhance Motion’s presence in Southern California, increasing its ability to serve local customers with a comprehensive range of industrial replacement parts and solutions.           

Yokogawa Electric Corp. agreed to acquire Intellisync and  Wisnam, Oct. 31

Yokogawa Electric Corp. agreed to acquire Intellisync and Wisnam, companies specialized in OT cybersecurity and grid management solutions. The acquisitions strengthen Yokogawa’s secure monitoring and control offerings for power grids and critical infrastructure.

Radiant Opto-Electronics Corp. funds Cephia, Oct. 30   

Cephia is a startup developing advanced AI computational imaging and silicon sensor products using novel metamaterials. Cephia technology enables superhuman vision capabilities that surpass traditional sensors and the human eye, targeting machine vision, robotics, and edge AI markets. Founded by experts from Princeton University and funded with $4 million in seed capital, Cephia aims to address the growing physical AGI market across diverse industry sectors with innovative sensing hardware and software.

Electro-Mechanical acquired Powercon Corp., Oct. 24

Electro-Mechanical acquired Powercon Corp., a company specializing in custom medium voltage switchgear, e-houses and modular substations, founded in 1959. This acquisition expands Electro-Mechanical’s capabilities in medium voltage switchgear and power systems for utility, data center and critical infrastructure markets. Powercon will continue operating with support for long-term growth, maintaining its reputation for high-quality, engineered power solutions.

Enpro agreed to acquire AlpHa Measurement Solutions & Overlook Industries, Oct. 23

Enpro Inc. agreed to acquire AlpHa Measurement Solutions and Overlook Industries for about $280 million to enhance its Sealing Technologies segment. AlpHa, based in Houston, provides liquid analytical sensing for industrial and environmental applications, broadening Enpro’s compositional analysis capabilities. Overlook, a biopharma component manufacturer, strengthens Enpro’s position in the biopharma sector. These acquisitions support Enpro’s growth strategy and expand its industrial technology offerings.

Amphenol Corp. acquired Rochester Sensors, Oct. 23

Renovo Capital sold Rochester Sensors to Amphenol Corp. Renovo acquired Rochester in 2018, a designer and manufacturer of liquid level sensors, and invested in R&D, engineering, marketing and strategic acquisitions that expanded its technology and global reach. Under Renovo’s ownership, Rochester significantly improved manufacturing capabilities and performance. The acquisition by Amphenol enhances its industrial sensor portfolio by adding Rochester’s expertise in level sensor applications.

Hamilton Robinson Capital Partners acquired Rohner Finishing Systems, Oct. 23

Hamilton Robinson Capital Partners acquired Rohner Finishing Systems, a provider of integrated finishing systems based in Vancouver, Washington. Founded in 1999, Rohner specializes in custom paint application booths, powder coating booths, finishing enclosures and curing ovens for diverse industries including aerospace, defense, marine and heavy industrial. They tailor solutions to meet customer requirements.

Clark-Reliance acquired the Penberthy brand from Emerson, Oct. 22

Clark-Reliance has acquired the Penberthy brand from Emerson, adding jet pumps, level measurement and flow instrumentation used in chemical, petrochemical and power markets. Penberthy’s products are integrated into critical industrial process and control systems.

Industrial Control Solutions acquired Duro-Sense Corp., Oct. 20

Industrial Control Solutions, a U.S. designer and manufacturer of flow, level and pressure sensing devices, acquired Duro-Sense Corp., a manufacturer of high-precision temperature sensors. This expands ICS’s capabilities to include temperature measurement alongside its existing products, improving its ability to deliver integrated sensing and control solutions for industries like aerospace, defense and power generation. Duro-Sense will continue operations in Southern California, supporting key customers with certified, reliable sensors.​

FloWorks International acquired Slater Controls, Oct. 20

FloWorks International, a distributor of critical flow control products and a portfolio company of Wynnchurch Capital, has acquired Slater Controls. This marks FloWorks’ sixth acquisition under Wynnchurch’s ownership. Slater Controls operates four locations across Texas, New Mexico and Arizona, serving diverse process industries. The acquisition expands FloWorks’ product portfolio, geographic reach and cross-selling opportunities, supporting the company’s next growth stage.

Comfort Systems acquired Feyen Zylstra, Oct. 1

Comfort Systems USA acquired Feyen Zylstra on Oct. 1. The acquisition, which included Meisner Electric, is expected to provide over $200 million in incremental annual revenue and $15 to $20 million in incremental annual EBITDA, according to Comfort Systems USA. Feyen Zylstra is an electrical contractor based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with strong industrial capabilities.

Kitchen Brains acquired Micro Control Systems & Sensing Technologies, Aug. 20

Kitchen Brains, a provider of intelligent control systems for the foodservice industry, acquired Micro Control Systems and Sensing Technologies, both based in Fort Myers, FL. MCS designs advanced controllers, sensors and compressors for HVAC/R markets. STI develops high-performance precision sensors for HVAC/R and other critical industrial applications. This acquisition expands Kitchen Brains’ market beyond foodservice into industrial control segments, fostering cross-selling, shared manufacturing and engineering collaboration.
