ZiCam ZI-640 performs machine vision tasks that once required human supervision. Essentially a self-learning machine vision system embedded into a high-performance digital video camera, this device features a neural-network-based Zero Instruction Set Computer-or ZISC-that eliminates the need for programming to execute image-understanding algorithms.
Instead, the unit learns what is required and, once taught, operates as a stand-alone machine vision system. Central to the system is the ZiCAM Teacher, user-friendly software that guides a human tutor through the learning process, expediting the time required to reach a fully taught ZiCAM. The process is done using an Ethernet network so that the equipment can be installed remotely from any place having Internet access.
